Ben, What Are You Looking Forward To This Year?

This semester, like most at SAIS, seems to be packed with exciting on-campus guest speakers. Some guest lecturers are invited by a professor and speak to a specific class, while others are campus-wide and open to all students. For example, this past week I had the pleasure of hearing Henry Kissinger and Michael Bloomberg speak for the inauguration of the Kissinger Center for Global Affairs, organized a roundtable discussion with Professor David Lampton, David Dollar (Brookings), and Scott Kennedy (CSIS) on the U.S. elections, and had a conversation with U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius about LGBTI issues in foreign policy. Next week, Professor John Lipsky is coming to one of my classes to talk about IMF operations and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi is on campus to speak on the future of U.S.-E.U. relations.

Thanks for reading,
