And so it (Spring Semester!) begins …

Today is the first day of classes for the Spring Semester.  Mother Nature welcomed our students back with sleet and freezing rain.  SAIS, on the other hand, welcomed them back with a surprise of its own, in the Nitze building lobby:

If you haven’t visited SAIS yet, you might be thinking, what’s the big deal?  But if you’ve been on the SAIS campus, you might have noticed that we’ve given the Nitze lobby a makeover!  We got new walls, a new floor with extra outlets for laptop cords, new modular furniture for extra seating, and more convenient side tables.  You can’t see it from this picture, but we also moved the security desk to improve traffic flow and make more room for seating.
So, welcome back, SAISers!  We hope you have a great spring semester.
Speaking of visiting campus, if you want to visit a class, you can do so beginning the week of Feb 11.  If you want to sit in on a class, be sure to make your request via the MySAIS page at least 10 business days before your planned visit.  And, as always, the SAIS Admissions Office has open office hours Monday through Friday, 2-5 pm.
