FAQ Friday: What’s the status of my application/materials?

Sorry we’re posting a little late today - oh well, it’s still Friday on the west coast!
We’ve started to get a lot of inquiries from applicants wanting to check on the status of their applications and supplemental materials - which is to be expected.  You want to make sure that everything is in, that your application in complete, that there aren’t any problems.  And we understand!
After we’ve processed your application, we’ll send you an email updating you on the status of your application.  Either we’ll tell you that we have all your materials and that your application is complete, or we’ll notify you of any missing materials. 
We’ve been busy opening transcripts and letters of recommendation - the mail has been arriving by the bucket-full.  (Literally.  We get a USPS bucket full of mail every day this time of year.)  It takes us a little while to sort through all that paper, so if you email us to see if we’ve received your transcript, it could take us up to a week to get back to you.
We’ll start processing applications next week, so start looking for that email from us.  And make sure that you add to your “Safe Senders” list so you don’t miss any communications regarding your application!
