How else do I know that summer at SAIS is winding down?  Because … guess what happens this week?  Not the Olympics … OK, YES THE OLYMPICS … but what else?
Pre-Term is a magical time of year when a large number of first year MA students, anxious to get a head start on their economics at SAIS, descend on the DC campus with the intention of doing a semester’s worth of Microeconomics (or Macroeconomics) in a scant 4 weeks!  Some brave, highly trained mathletes will attempt to complete BOTH Micro and Macro in 4 weeks.
Yes, it’s … EconOlympics.
Only, instead of medals, successful participants in the EconOlympics receive course credit and Pre-Term t-shirts (trust a SAISer, the Pre-Term t-shirt is almost as good as a gold medal).
Thanks for reading!
